Today, around six million people are expected to apply for the Universal credit loan which aims to help families with little or no working income to make ends meet.

Universal Credit Loan: Eligibility
Those who successfully claim the allowance can borrow from £ 100 to £ 812 if they have children, with the amount depending on their savings or not to repay the loan.
To benefit from the Universal Credit Loan you must:
- Receive universal credit, employment and support allowance (ESA), income assistance, jobseeker’s allowance or state pension credit for six months or more, unless you need the money to help you start a new job or stay at work
- Have gained less than 2,600 pounds in the last six months, or 3,600 pounds for couples
- Have repaid all previous budget advance loans
Universal Credit Loan: How to apply online?
There are three ways to claim the Universal Credit Loan according to the official government website.
Applicants can either speak to their Jobcentre Plus work coach, apply through their online account, or call the Universal Credit helpline on 0800 328 5644.
To apply online, all you need to do is log into your Universal Credit account, through which you can request an advance on your first payment, view your statement, report a change in situation, add a note to your journal, view your list of tasks, check the date of your next payment and see your requestor commitment.
